The book is an illustrated history of Zetor. An account of the impressive development of Czech engineering and one of the best known Czechoslovakian industrial groups, Zbrojovka Brno, tells the fascinating story of how an arms manufacturer in Brno, the “Manchester” of Moravia, turned to a tractor maker after World War II. In a nutshell, the book presents the development of the Zetor tractor range from 1945 onwards. Since, 1.2 million tractors have been sold all over the world, including licence production in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
„The idea for this book was born in August 2007 at the well known international oldtimer tractor festival in Panningen, the Netherlands. At that show, the spotlights were on the Zetor brand and more than 200 Zetor old timers had been brought together. A question arose from dealers, collectors and fans: “Why is there no book about Zetor tractors?” And so it all began.“
This book was written by Arthur Nutbey from the Netherlands, who retired from international marketing communication (farm equipment industry) and who is a big Zetor fan.
