*) Cost saving of Zetor 16V engine compared to Zetor 8V engine
cost saving per engine-hour is 0.6 Gallons/engine-hour
The Forterra model series is one of the most powerful and best equipped tractors in the Zetor brand portfolio. Foremost among their advantages are unique technological solutions that not only provide farmers at work with the necessary comfort, but also significant financial savings. And for many farmers today cutting costs is the key parameter.
The Forterra HSX enables owners to achieve savings mainly thanks to improvements in construction and function. The new concept of the Forterra HSX’s 16V engine provides farmers with a fuel saving of up to 0,6 gallons per hour, while the tractor now reaches a maximum power of 100 kW (an 8 % increase compared to 8V engines). With these engines, the annual saving can therefore amount up to $ 1,575 (if we base our calculations on 700 engine-hours per year, saving 0.6 gal per engine-hour and a Diesel price $ 3,75 per gallon).
You can also find on Forterra tractors a unique technological innovation from the Zetor brand called HitchTronic. This ensures that the tractor adapts itself when ploughing to the conditions of any terrain. Simply put, it optimizes the ploughing depth entered by the driver according to the actual soil conditions. For example, it slightly lifts the plough if the soil is too dense. HitchTronic also contributes to fuel savings. more in HITCHTRONIC.
The low fuel consumption of Zetor tractors is also appreciated by user of the model. For example, the Zetor Forterra 135 was tested by American farmer Mark Harper when working with a plough-less six-row corn planter with a 158,5 gallons liquid fertilizer tank (1.2 kg/litre) and disc-type drill coulters. more in Low consumption is confirmed by farmers from all over the world
The German Agricultural Association (DLG) has also obtained promising results. They subjected the Zetor Forterra 135 tractor to a demanding test in 2011 in which the tractor received one of the best assessments. This tractor achieved excellent results in relation to fuel economy when it was shown to be 5.7% more economical than the average of all previously tested tractors. The tractor also performed well in terms of lifting force, hydraulic power and overall manoeuvrability. more in Simple, but not stupid – review by German magazine PROFI TRACTORS 10/2011.
The Zetor Proxima model series has gained its popularity thanks to its versatility, reliability and robustness, with emphasis on simple operation, long service life and low operating costs. more in: Spacious cab and simple design – review by TOP TECHNIKA Polska, BIG TEST OF 14 TRACTORS IN 100 HP CLASS – test by TOP AGRAR Polska, 9/2013 (table and graph only.
